CON-635-MONO
A solder-on metal 6.35 mm mono plug for instrument and speaker leads.
A 6.35mm mono (TS) plug has one insulating band and one signal contact -- tip and sleeve only, no ring -- distinct from a stereo/balanced TRS plug which has two bands. The band count on the plug itself is the real, checkable way to tell which wiring it carries.

From the published standard
A loose plug is hand-soldered onto the end of a cable, typically used to repair an existing lead or to build a custom length. A mono (TS) plug has only a tip and sleeve with no ring, suited to a single-channel signal such as an instrument output.
