HDMI-3M-21
8K HDMI Cable. Length 3m.
HDMI 2.1 jumps to 48 Gbps, enough for real 8K at 60Hz or 4K at up to 120Hz -- well beyond what 1.4 or 2.0 can carry. It adds eARC (uncompressed multichannel audio like Dolby Atmos back to a receiver) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), a real gaming-relevant feature the earlier versions do not have.

How it works
The picture goes out on three differential pairs, each carrying the signal and an inverted copy. The display subtracts one from the other, so any noise that hit both wires cancels out. The fourth pair carries the clock that says when each pixel starts.

From the published standard
An HDMI cable carries picture and sound digitally over three differential pairs using TMDS encoding, with a fourth pair for the clock. The signal is digital, so it either arrives intact or drops out, and does not degrade gradually the way VGA does. The version printed on a cable is what sets the maximum resolution it can pass, and the supplier has not yet confirmed that figure for this item.
