USB30-SATA
Connects a bare internal hard disk or optical drive to a computer over USB, for recovering or copying data without installing it.
USB-A carries just 4 pins: VBUS (+5V power), a D+/D- differential data pair, and GND -- the simplest USB pinout, with no reversibility and no Power Delivery negotiation lines.

From the published standard
The bridge chip converts the drive's internal SATA protocol into a USB mass-storage protocol, so the bare disk appears to the system as an ordinary external USB drive without being installed inside a case. USB 3.0 supports UASP, which lowers command latency compared to the older USB 2.0 mass-storage mode.
