HUB-A-7
Turns one USB port into 7, at USB 3.0 speed.
The 4-pin USB-A connector (VBUS, D+/D- data pair, ground) is this hub's upstream port -- a USB hub is technically a single addressable USB device the host computer sees, which then internally re-distributes that one channel across its 7 downstream ports.

From the published standard
A hub splits one port into several, but every connected device shares the bandwidth and the power budget of that one original port. That is why an unpowered hub is fine with a mouse, a keyboard and a flash drive, and struggles with an external hard disk or several power-hungry devices at once, at which point a hub with its own power supply is what is needed.
