HUB-C-7
Turns one USB-C port into 7, at USB 3.0 speed.
This hub's upstream USB-C connector carries 24 symmetric pins including the two CC pins that determine cable orientation automatically (the plug works either way it's inserted) and are also the channel power delivery negotiation runs over -- a USB hub is technically a single addressable USB device the host computer sees, which then internally re-distributes that channel across its 7 downstream ports.

From the published standard
A hub splits one port into several, but every connected device shares the bandwidth and the power budget of that one original port. That is why an unpowered hub is fine with a mouse, a keyboard and a flash drive, and struggles with an external hard disk or several power-hungry devices at once, at which point a hub with its own power supply is what is needed.
