EXT-FKVM-20KM
Sends an HDMI picture up to 20km over fiber. Keyboard and mouse travel with the picture, so the source machine stays in the rack.
HDMI Type-A carries 19 pins, not just the video signal: TMDS pairs for the picture itself, CEC (single-wire remote control across connected devices), DDC/+5V (the EDID handshake -- how the source learns which resolutions the display supports), and HPD (Hot Plug Detect -- how the source knows a display is connected at all).
Two separate units
This product is physically two separate units, not one box: a transmitter near the signal source and a receiver near the display, joined by fibre optic cable up to 20000m.
Each unit typically needs its own DC power adapter, even where the product data records only one power port.

From the published standard
Unlike a copper extender, which tops out at a few hundred metres, this pair sends the picture as light down glass fibre instead of a copper network cable — that alone is what makes a 20 km distance possible; copper does not come close to that range no matter its quality. Keyboard and mouse are digitally encoded onto the same optical link as the picture, so the source machine stays in the rack while it is operated from far away.
