The keystone cutout on a network faceplate is a standardized opening (about 14.5x16mm) that accepts keystone modules from essentially any manufacturer, and the two ports here are fully independent -- each can carry network or telephone depending on the module snapped into it. The 90-degree profile keeps both cables within their safe minimum bend radius as they exit the wall.

How it works

A faceplate holds keystone modules and covers the back box. The 90-degree version angles the socket downward so the patch lead runs along the wall instead of sticking out of it, which reduces strain on the termination and stops dust settling in the socket.
